Central banker puts Russian investors’ frozen assets at 6 tln rbl

MOSCOW, Jan 31 (PRIME) -- Russian investors’ assets frozen in foreign infrastructure amounted to 5.7 trillion rubles as of November 30, Olga Shishlyannikova, director of the central bank's department of investment finance intermediaries, said on Tuesday.

"Concerning frozen assets. The frozen assets amounted to 5.7 trillion rubles as of November 30, more than 20% of those are assets owned by retail investors," the official said.

According to Shishlyannikova, the central bank took the situation into account when forbidding non-qualified investors from buying some foreign securities.
